Client

David approached us in January 2023. He had moved from London to a tranquil, forest edge location. The garden had almost been absorbed from the forest and he tasked us with making it into a real garden he could enjoy.

Objectives

Remove all overgrown vegetation
Install herbaceous borders with year round colour
Make large areas easy maintenance
Maintain the garden going forward

Our Creation

Working with the sloping ground in the garden we added an additional tier and steps for easy access to all areas
Corten steel edging was used for the steps and path, then filled with 20mm shingle
Two tiers of herbaceous planting, an orchard area and a shrub area
A sleeper wall to retain the bank
A new lawn with turf supplied from Sherborne Turf
