Client

Penny and Eric approached us in winter 2023. They had a very large back garden, however half of it was overgrown and unusable due to the low water table. They wished to make this area a usable and tranquil space.

Objectives

  • Remove all overgrown vegetation
  • Install a path to the rear of the garden
  • Reinstate a pond, which was overgrown
  • Create a seating area
  • Install shade and damp tolerant plants

Our Creation

  • We began by removing the existing layer of vegetation
  • Installed a corten steel lined path with a shingle centre
  • Built a circular decking area with composite posts, which will not rot in the wet ground
  • Created a sandstone edged pond with stepping stones
  • Planted shade, damp tolerant and deer resistant plants throughout
