Client
Penny and Eric approached us in winter 2023. They had a very large back garden, however half of it was overgrown and unusable due to the low water table. They wished to make this area a usable and tranquil space.
Objectives
- Remove all overgrown vegetation
- Install a path to the rear of the garden
- Reinstate a pond, which was overgrown
- Create a seating area
- Install shade and damp tolerant plants
Our Creation
- We began by removing the existing layer of vegetation
- Installed a corten steel lined path with a shingle centre
- Built a circular decking area with composite posts, which will not rot in the wet ground
- Created a sandstone edged pond with stepping stones
- Planted shade, damp tolerant and deer resistant plants throughout
