Client

Long-time owners, Sean and Deborah, approached us to brighten up their garden outside Brockenhurst.

Objectives

  • Change existing gravel and concrete for a brighter gravel colour
  • Install a path from the patio area to the bottom of the outbuilding
  • Soften existing patio area with plants
  • Use old railway sleepers as part of the installation
  • Turn tired looking areas into flower beds

Our Creation

  • Embedded railway sleeper path in Cotswold gravel, lined with English lavender
  • Cotswold gravel with weed membrane base
  • Two raised planters with climbing David Austin roses and French lavender
  • Custom raised planter with Mediterranean herb selection including: sage, rosemary, thyme, oregano and marjoram
  • Custom raised planter with edible flowers and semi-shade herbs
  • Two terracotta pots with bay tree shrubs
  • Espaliered apple tree to old gate
  • Herbaceous, railway sleeper lined border. Includes catmint, alliums, iris, verbascum
