Long-time owners, Sean and Deborah, approached us to brighten up their garden outside Brockenhurst.
Objectives
- Change existing gravel and concrete for a brighter gravel colour
- Install a path from the patio area to the bottom of the outbuilding
- Soften existing patio area with plants
- Use old railway sleepers as part of the installation
- Turn tired looking areas into flower beds
Our Creation
- Embedded railway sleeper path in Cotswold gravel, lined with English lavender
- Cotswold gravel with weed membrane base
- Two raised planters with climbing David Austin roses and French lavender
- Custom raised planter with Mediterranean herb selection including: sage, rosemary, thyme, oregano and marjoram
- Custom raised planter with edible flowers and semi-shade herbs
- Two terracotta pots with bay tree shrubs
- Espaliered apple tree to old gate
- Herbaceous, railway sleeper lined border. Includes catmint, alliums, iris, verbascum
